Medical Informatics - Medical Imaging Communication (MEDICOM)

This document includes an overview of the Standard. In particular, it contains a brief description of the contents of each of the DICOM Parts referenced by this Standard (see Annex B). This standard facilitates inter-operability of medical imaging equipment by specifying: - A unifying architecture for Communication in Medical Imaging, including a number of strategic directions for the evolution of this architecture.

La présente prénorme européenne donne une présentation générale du standard DICOM et décrit brievement le contenu de chacune des parties de ce standard auxquelles la présente prénorme européenne fait référence (voir l'annexe B). La présente prénorme européenne facilite l'interopérabilité des équipements d'imagerie médicale en spécifiant: a) une architecture unifiée pour les communications en imagerie médicale, ainsi que la stratégie d'évolution de cette architecture.
