This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60127-2:2014; it was approved by CENELEC on 2022-10-19. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the
responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as
the official versions.
CENELEC members are the national electrotechnical committees of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic,

IEC/TC 32 "Fuses" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as
EN 60127-2:2014/A1:2023.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2024-02-25
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2026-08-25
document have to be withdrawn
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

8 Cartridge fuse-links with d.c. ratings
9 B.1 General
10 This annex supplements the requirements of this standard and is to be applied to already tested and
11 approved 5 mm × 20 mm or 6,3 mm x 32 mm fuse-links which are available without or with wire
12 terminations.
13 This annex relates to requirements applicable to cartridge fuse-links used for the protection of electric
14 appliances, electronic equipment and component parts thereof, normally intended to be used indoors.
15 The object of this annex is to define additional test methods for cartridge fuse-links with optional d.c.
16 ratings.
17 B.2 General notes on tests
18 In addition to the requirements of Clause 7 in IEC 60127-1, the following criteria shall be observed.
19 B.2.1 Type tests
20 Replace 7.2.1:
21 15 additional samples chosen at random are required.
22 The schedule for testing cartridge fuse-links with d.c. ratings shall be according to Table B.1.
23 The requirements of 7.2.3 in IEC 60127-1 are not applicable.
24 No failure is allowed in any of the additional tests specified in this annex.

28 B.2.2 Test bases for tests
29 Cartridge fuse-links shall be tested in a test fuse-base as shown in Figure 3.
30 Cartridge fuse-links with wire terminations shall be tested in a test board as shown in Figure A.1. The
31 test board shall then be mounted on the test base of Figure A.2.
