Die Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Beurteilung des Grades der Beschädigung eines Werkstoffs bei leichter Beanspruchung durch nassen Abrieb fest. Es wird speziell zur Nachahmung der abnutzenden Wirkung eines feuchten Strumpfs auf Brandsohlen von Schuhen beim Tragen angewendet. Für andere Versagensarten werden andere Prüfungen empfohlen (z. B. lässt sich die Knötchenbildung an Vliesbrandsohlen am besten mit der Martindale-Prüfung beurteilen).

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
