(Specification)Standard Specification for Laboratory Glass Micropipets (Withdrawn 2024)
Standard Specification for Laboratory Glass Micropipets (Withdrawn 2024)
ABSTRACT
This specification describes the design and dimensional requirements for several types of laboratory glass micropipets useful in measuring microlitre quantities of liquids. The types of micropipets covered here are the measuring-type micropipets, Folin-type micrpipets, Pregl-type micro washout pipets, density-type micro weighing pipets, and microlitre pipets.
SCOPE
1.1 This specification covers several micropipets useful in measuring microlitre quantities of liquids.
Note 1: This specification was originally developed by the Committee on Microchemical Apparatus, Division of Analytical Chemistry, American Chemical Society.2,3, 4
1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
1.3 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
WITHDRAWN RATIONALE
This specification covered several micropipets useful in measuring microlitre quantities of liquids.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee E41 on Laboratory Apparatus, this specification was withdrawn in February 2024. This standard is being withdrawn without replacement because the E41 committee does not know of a supplier of these products and they are no longer relevant to the market.
