Natural stone test methods - Determination of resistance to salt crystallisation

This document specifies a test method to assess the relative resistance of natural stones with an open porosity of greater than 5 %, measured in accordance with EN 1936, to damage caused by the crystallization of salts. The test is not necessary for low porosity stones.

Prüfverfahren für Naturstein - Bestimmung des Widerstandes gegen Kristallisation von Salzen

Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren fest, um die relative Beständigkeit von Natursteinen, deren offene Porosität > 5 % ist, gemessen nach EN 1936 gegen Schäden durch die Kristallisation von Salzen zu bewerten. Das Prüfverfahren ist nicht erforderlich für Naturstein mit einer geringen Porosität.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode d'essai pour évaluer la résistance relative aux altérations causées par la cristallisation des sels des pierres naturelles dont la porosité ouverte, mesurée conformément à l'EN 1936, est supérieure à 5 %. Cet essai n'est pas nécessaire pour les pierres à faible porosité.
