This document specifies safety requirements and the corresponding test methods for fixed or folding reclined cradles intended for children up to when they start to stand up and walk and sit by themselves.
This document applies also to car seats complying with ECE R44 or ECE R129 that can be used as reclined cradles according to manufacturer’s instructions.
This document does not apply to reclined cradles when used as swings.
If a reclined cradle has several functions or can be converted into another function the relevant European standards apply to it (see Annex B).
This document applies in conjunction with and in addition to prEN 12790 1:2018 and it cannot be used separately.

Dieses Dokument legt Sicherheitsanforderungen und die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für fest stehende oder zusammenklappbare Kinderliegesitze fest, die für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, an dem sie beginnen, selbst aufzustehen und zu laufen und zu sitzen, bestimmt sind.
Dieses Dokument gilt ebenfalls für Autokindersitze nach UN R44 oder UN R129, die nach Herstellerangaben als Kinderliegesitze verwendet werden können.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Kinderliegesitze, die als Schaukel eingesetzt werden.
Wenn ein Kinderliegesitz über mehrere Funktionen verfügt oder in eine andere Funktion umgebaut werden kann, muss dieser den zutreffenden Europäischen Normen entsprechen (siehe Anhang B).
Dieses Dokument gilt gemeinsam mit und ergänzend zu prEN 12790 1:2019 und kann nicht einzeln angewendet werden.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les méthodes d’essai correspondantes relatives aux transats fixes ou pliants destinés aux enfants jusqu’à ce qu’ils commencent à se mettre debout, à marcher et à s’asseoir tout seul.
Le présent document s’applique également aux sièges-auto conformes au Règlement ECE R44 ou ECE R129 pouvant être utilisés comme transats conformément aux instructions du fabricant.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux transats lorsqu’ils sont utilisés comme balançoires.
Si un transat offre plusieurs fonctions ou peut être converti en une autre fonction, les normes européennes pertinentes s’appliquent (voir Annexe B).
Le présent document s’applique conjointement et en complément du prEN 12790-1:2018, et ne peut pas être utilisée séparément.

care articles”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.This document is currently submitted to the 2 CEN Enquiry.
This document will supersede EN 12790:2009.
EN 12790 has been divided into the following two different parts to widen the scope of the standard:
— EN 12790-1, that covers reclined cradles intended for children up to when they start to try to sit up
(same as EN 12790:2009)— EN 12790-2, that covers reclined cradles intended for children up to when they start to stand up

1 Scope
This document specifies safety requirements and the corresponding test methods for fixed or folding

This document applies also to car seats complying with UN R44 or UN R129 that can be used as reclined
cradles according to manufacturer’s instructions.This document does not apply to reclined cradles when used as swings.
