Resilient floor coverings - Specification for plain and decorative linoleum on a corkment backing

This document specifies the characteristics of plain and decorative linoleum on a corkment backing as a compound floor covering, supplied in roll form.
To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, this standard includes a classification system based on intensity of use, which shows where resilient floor coverings should give satisfactory service (see EN ISO 10874). It also includes requirements for marking.
The term 'linoleum' is frequently incorrectly applied to a range of floor coverings, often to those based on polyvinyl chloride or rubber. Such materials are not included in this document.

Elastische Bodenbeläge - Spezifikation für Linoleum mit und ohne Muster mit Korkmentrücken

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von ungemusterten und gemusterten Linoleum-Bodenbelägen mit Korkmentrücken fest, die als ein Verbundbodenbelag in Form von Rollen geliefert werden.
Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem (siehe EN ISO 10874) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo diese elastischen Bodenbeläge einen zufriedenstellenden Nutzen bieten sollten. Das Dokument legt auch Anforderungen zur Kennzeichnung fest.
Der Begriff "Linoleum" wird häufig fälschlicherweise auch für andere Bodenbeläge, oft für solche auf Basis von Polyvinylchlorid oder Elastomeren, verwendet. Derartige Materialien sind nicht in diesem Dokument eingeschlossen.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques, en tant que revêtement de sol composé, du linoléum uni et décoratif sur support en composition de liège, fourni sous forme de rouleaux.
Pour aider le consommateur à faire un choix éclairé, la présente norme inclut un système de classification basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit où ces revêtements de sol résilients sont supposés rendre un service satisfaisant (voir l'EN ISO 10874). Elle inclut également les exigences relatives au marquage.
Le terme « linoléum » est fréquemment appliqué à tort à une gamme de revêtements de sol, souvent à base de polychlorure de vinyle ou de caoutchouc. De tels produits ne sont pas couverts par le présent document.

Ta evropski standard določa značilnosti linoleja na plutinem hrbtišču z dekorativnim vzorcem in brez njega kot sestavljene talne obloge, ki se dobavi v obliki zvitka.
Za spodbujanje potrošnikov k sprejemanju utemeljenih odločitev ta standard vsebuje sistem razvrščanja na podlagi intenzivnosti uporabe, ki kaže, kje bi se netekstilne talne obloge lahko zadovoljivo uporabljale (glej EN 685). Vključuje tudi zahteve za označevanje.
Izraz »linolej« se velikokrat napačno uporablja za različne talne obloge, pogosto za talne obloge na osnovi polivinilklorida ali gume. Taki materiali niso vključeni v ta dokument.

This document (EN 687:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient,
textile and laminate floor coverings”, the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2019, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2019.
