Non-destructive testing - Leak testing - Criteria for method and technique selection

This European Standard describes criteria for the selection of the most suitable method and technique for the assessment of leak tightness by indication or measurement of a gas leakage. Annex A, normative, allows a comparison of standard test methods. Leak detection using hydrostatic tests, ultrasonic or electromagnetic methods is not included in this document.  This standard can be used for equipment which can be evacuated or pressurized.

Dieser Europäische Norm beschreibt die Kriterien für die Auswahl der geeignetsten Methoden und Verfahren für die Beurteilung der Dichtheit durch Anzeige oder Messung einer Gasleckage. Der normative Anhang A erlaubt einen Vergleich der Standardprüfverfahren. Dichtheitsprüfungen, die hydrostatische Prüfungen, elektromagnetische Ultraschallprüfungen beinhalten, sind in diesem Entwurf nicht berücksichtigt. Diese Europäische Norm kann auf Einrichtungen angewendet werden, die evakuiert oder unter Druck gesetzt werden können.

Le présent projet de norme européenne décrit les critères de sélection de la meilleure méthode et de la meilleure technique d'évaluation de l'étanchéité par indication ou mesurage d'une fuite gazeuse. L'annexe A, normative, permet de comparer des techniques de contrôle normalisées. Le contrôle de l'étanchéité par épreuve hydrostatique, par les ultrasons ou par des méthodes électromagnétiques ne figure pas dans ce document. La présente norme s'applique aux appareils sous vide ou sous pression.
