Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Konstruktion, Funktionsmerkmale und die Herstellung von Schiebern aus Thermoplasten zum Absperren fest sowie deren Anschluss an das Rohr¬leitungssystem, Gehäusewerkstoffe und Druck/Temperatur-Zuordnungen zwischen – 40 °C und + 120 °C, für eine Lebensdauer von 25 Jahren. Sie legt auch die entsprechenden Prüfungen fest.
Diese Internationale Norm gilt für hand- und kraftbetätigte Armaturen, die in industrielle Rohrleitungssysteme eingebaut werden, unabhängig vom Einsatzbereich und dem zu befördernden Medium.
ANMERKUNG 1      Industrielle Rohrleitungssysteme umfassen auch Rohrleitungen für Wasserversorgung für allgemeine Zwecke, Entwässerung und Entsorgung.
ANMERKUNG 2      Rohrleitungssysteme für Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch können besonderen Anforderungen unterliegen.
Diese Internationale Norm erstreckt sich auf die folgenden DN-Bereiche:
DN 10, DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100, DN 125, DN 150, DN 200, DN 250, DN 300 und DN 350
sowie auf die folgenden PN- und Class-Bereiche:
PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 und Class 150.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN ISO 16139:2006; it was approved by CEN on 21 June 2019.

CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for inclusion of
this amendment into the relevant national standard without any alteration. Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references
concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CEN
member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation
under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the
same status as the official versions.

This document (EN ISO 16139:2006/A1:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 138
"Plastics pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 69 “Industrial valves” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2020, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2020.
