Anwendungsbereich
Dieser Teil von ISO 2811 gehört zu einer Reihe von Normen, welche die Probenahme und die Prüfung von Beschichtungsstoffen wie Anstrichstoffe und Lacke  behandelt.
Er legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Dichte von Beschichtungsstoffen mit einem Schwingungs-Dichtemesser fest.
Das Verfahren ist für alle Beschichtungsstoffe einschließlich pastenförmiger anwendbar. Wenn eine druckfeste Ausführung des Gerätes verwendet wird, ist das Verfahren auch für Aerosole geeignet.

La présente partie de l'ISO 2811 fait partie d'une série de normes traitant de l'échantillonnage et des essais des peintures, vernis et produits assimilés.  Elle prescrit une méthode pour la détermination de la masse volumique des peintures, vernis et produits assimilés au moyen d'un oscillateur.  La méthode convient pour tous les produits, y compris les revêtements de consistance pâteuse. Si un type d'appareillage résistant à la pression est utilisé, la méthode est également applicable aux aérosols.

Foreword
The text of the International Standard from Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints and
varnishes" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has been taken over as an
European Standard by Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 "Paints and varnishes", the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2002, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2002.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,
Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
