Foreword
The text of ISO 8895:2004 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 33 "Refractories” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 8895:2006 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 187 "Refractory products and materials", the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2006, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2006.
This document supersedes EN 1094-5:1995.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

Vorwort
Der Text von ISO 8895:2004 wurde vom Technischen Komitee ISO/TC 33 „Refractories“ der Internationalen
Organisation für Normung (ISO) erarbeitet und als EN ISO 8895:2006 durch das Technische Komitee
CEN/TC 187 „Feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und Werkstoffe“ übernommen, dessen Sekretariat vom BSI gehalten
wird.
Diese Europäische Norm muss den Status einer nationalen Norm erhalten, entweder durch Veröffentlichung
eines identischen Textes oder durch Anerkennung bis Dezember 2006, und etwaige entgegenstehende
nationale Normen müssen bis Dezember 2006 zurückgezogen werden.
Dieses Dokument ersetzt EN 1094-5:1995.
Entsprechend der CEN/CENELEC-Geschäftsordnung sind die nationalen Normungsinstitute der folgenden
