Der vorliegende Teil der ISO 4064|OIML R 49 gilt für die Baumusterprüfung und die Ersteichung von Wasserzählern für kaltes Trinkwasser und heißes Wasser, die in ISO 4064 1:xxx|OIML R 49 1:xxx definiert sind. Die OIML Konformitätszertifikate können für Wasserzähler ausgestellt werden, die in den Anwendungsbereich des OIML Zertifizierungssystems fallen, vorausgesetzt, dass dieser Teil der ISO 4064|OIML R 49, ISO 4064 1:xxx|OIML R 49 1:xxx und ISO 4064 3:xxx|OIML R 49 3:xxx in Übereinstimmung mit den Regeln des Systems angewendet werden.
Der vorliegende Teil der ISO 4064|OIML R 49 legt die Einzelheiten des Prüfprogramms, Grundsätze, Ausrüstung und Verfahren fest, die für die Baumusterprüfung und die Ersteichung einer Zählerart zum Einsatz kommen.
Die Bestimmungen des vorliegenden Teils der ISO 4064|OIML R 49 gelten ebenfalls für Zusatzeinrichtungen, sofern diese aufgrund nationaler Vorschriften erforderlich sind.
Die Bestimmungen enthalten Anforderungen an die Prüfung des vollständigen Wasserzählers sowie an die Prüfung des Messwertgebers (einschließlich Durchfluss- und Volumensensor) und des Rechners (einschließlich Anzeigeeinrichtung) von Wasserzählern als eigenständige Einheiten.
