EN ISO 2740:2009

Sintered metal materials, excluding hardmetals - Tensile test pieces (ISO 2740:2009)

ISO 2740:2009 is applicable to all sintered metals and alloys, excluding hardmetals.
ISO 2740:2009 specifies: 1) the die cavity dimensions used for making tensile test pieces by pressing and sintering, and by Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) and sintering; and 2) the dimensions of tensile test pieces machined from sintered and powder forged materials.

Diese Internationale Norm gilt für alle Sintermetalle und -legierungen, ausgenommen Hartmetalle.
Diese Internationale Norm legt
⎯ die Maße für die zur Herstellung der Zugprobestäbe durch Pressen und Sintern sowie durch Metallpulverspritzgießen
(MIM) und Sintern verwendeten Matrizen fest; ferner
⎯ die Maße von Zugprobestäben aus Sinter- und Pulverschmiedewerkstoffen.

L'ISO 2740:2009 s'applique à tous les métaux et alliages frittés, à l'exclusion des métaux-durs.
Elle spécifie: 1) les dimensions internes de la matrice utilisées pour la réalisation d'éprouvettes d'essai de traction, par compression et frittage ou par injection-moulage de métal et frittage; 2) les dimensions des éprouvettes de traction usinées dans des matériaux frittés ou frittés-forgés.

This document (EN ISO 2740:2009) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 "Powder
metallurgy" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS M11 “Powder metallurgy” the secretariat of
which is held by CMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2740:2007.
