Non-destructive testing - Visual testing - General principles
This European Standard specifies the general principles for visual testing both directly and remotely when it is used to determine the compliance of a product with specified requirements (e.g. surface condition of the part, alignment of mating surfaces, shape of part).
This European Standard does not apply to viewing activities linked to the use of any other destructive or non-destructive test method.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die allgemeinen Grundlagen der direkten und der indirekten Sichtprüfung fest, wenn sie zur Kontrolle der Übereinstimmung eines Produkts mit festgelegten Anforderungen (z. B. die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Teils, die Ausrichtung von Passflächen und die geometrische Form des Teils) verwendet wird.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Betrachtungsvorgänge im Zusammenhang mit der Anwendung anderer zerstörender oder zerstörungsfreier Prüfverfahren.

La présente Norme européenne décrit les principes généraux pour le contrôle visuel, à la fois direct et indirect, lorsqu'il est utilisé pour déterminer qu'un produit répond aux exigences spécifiées (par exemple, état de surface de la pièce, alignement des surfaces en vis-à-vis, forme de la pièce).
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas à l'examen visuel lié à l'interprétation de toute autre méthode de contrôle destructif ou non destructif.
Neporušitveno preskušanje - Vizualno preskušanje - Splošna načela
Ta evropski standard določa splošna načela za neposredno in oddaljeno vizualno preskušanje, ko se uporablja za določanje skladnosti izdelka z določenimi zahtevami (npr. stanje površine dela, poravnava sklopnih površin, oblika dela). Ta evropski standard ne velja za vizualno spremljanje uporabe drugih porušitvenih ali neporušitvenih preskusnih metod.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2016.
