Foreword
This document (EN 251:2003) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN /TC 163 "Sanitary appliances" the
secretariat of which is held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by November 2003, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest
by November 2003.
This document supersedes EN 251:1990.
This draft European Standard applies to shower trays used for domestic purposes and complements the standards
for baths made from different materials, the existing standards on tap ware and waste fittings (EN 200 and EN
274-1) in terms of their dimensional requirements.
Annex A is normative.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
