This standard defines the protective cover for receptacle 2 and 4 modules, series 2 and series 3 used in the family of rectangular electrical connectors.
The connector accessory bodies corresponding to those protective covers are defined in EN 4165-004, EN 4165-005, EN 4165-011 and EN 4165-012.

Diese Norm legt die Schutzkappen für feste Steckverbinder mit 2 und 4 Modulen, Serie 2 und Serie 3 fest, die in der Familie der elektrischen Rechtecksteckverbinder verwendet werden.
Die diesen Schutzkapppen entsprechenden Zubehörgehäuse von Steckverbindern sind in EN 4165 004, EN 4165 005, EN 4165 011 und EN 4165 012 festgelegt.
