This European Standard specifies the general characteristics, the conditions for qualification, acceptance and quality assurance, as well as the test programs and groups for threaded ring coupling circular fibre optic self-locking connectors, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, intended for use in a temperature range from −65 °C to 150 °C (cable dependent) continuous.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die allgemeinen Eigenschaften, die Bedingungen für die Qualifikation, Abnahme und Quali¬tätssicherung sowie Prüfprogramme und gruppen für optische Rundsteckverbinder mit Schraubkupplung, selbstsichernd, feuerbeständig oder nicht feuerbeständig, bestimmt für die Anwendung in einem konstanten Temperaturbereich von −65 °C bis 150 °C (leitungsabhängig) fest.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques générales, les conditions de qualification, d'acceptation et d'assurance qualité ainsi que les programmes et les groupes d'essais pour les connecteurs optiques circulaires à accouplement par bague filetée, à freinage interne, résistant au feu ou non, prévus pour être utilisés dans une plage de températures de 65 °C à 150 °C (en fonction du câble) continu.

Ta evropski standard določa splošne značilnosti, pogoje kvalifikacije, sprejemljivosti in zagotavljanja kakovosti ter preskusne programe in skupine za okrogle samozaporne konektorje iz optičnih vlaken, priključene z navojnim obročkom, ognjevzdržne ali ne, za uporabo pri stalnih temperaturah med –65 °C in 150 °C (odvisno od kabla).
