Dentistry - Number coding system for rotary instruments - Part 3: Specific characteristics of burs and cutters (ISO 6360-3:2005)

ISO 6360-3:2005 specifies the code numbers for specific characteristics of burs, finishing burs, cutters and surgical instruments, which refer to the type of toothing on the working part of the instrument. This three digit number appears in the locations 10 to 12 of the 15-digit overall number and forms the fourth group of three digits in the 15-digit overall number, the principles of which are explained in ISO 6360-1 and 6360-2.
In addition to terms for rotary instruments and accessories used in two of the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), ISO 6360-3:2005 gives the equivalent terms in the German language; these are published under the responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.

Dieser Teil von ISO 6360 enthält Kennzahlen für die besonderen Eigenschaften der Bohrer, Finierer, Fräser und chirurgischen Instrumente, die sich auf die Verzahnungsart auf dem Arbeitsteil des Instruments beziehen. Diese dreistellige Nummer erscheint an den Stellen 10 bis 12 in der 15-stelligen Gesamtnummer und bildet die vierte Gruppe mit drei Zahlen in der 15-stelligen Gesamtnummer, deren Grundprinzipien in ISO 6360 1 und 6360 2 beschrieben werden.
ANMERKUNG   Zusätzlich zu den Benennungen für rotierende Instrumente und Zubehör, die in zwei der drei offiziellen ISO-Sprachfassungen (Englisch, Französisch und Russisch) gegeben werden, enthält dieser Teil von ISO 6360 äquivalente Benennungen in der deutschen Sprache; diese erscheinen unter der Verantwortung des Mitgliedes für Deutschland (DIN). Nur die Benennungen in den offiziellen ISO-Sprachen dürfen deshalb als ISO-Benennungen angesehen werden.

L'ISO 6360-3:2005 spécifie les codes numériques des caractéristiques particulières des fraises, des fraises à finir, des fraises de laboratoire et des instruments chirurgicaux, relatifs au type de denture de la partie active de l'instrument. Ce nombre à trois chiffres apparaît aux positions 10 à 12 de l'identifiant complet à 15 chiffres et constitue le quatrième groupe de trois chiffres de cet identifiant, dont les principes sont expliqués dans l'ISO 6360-1 et l'ISO 6360-2.
En complément des termes relatifs aux instruments rotatifs et à leurs accessoires dans deux des trois langues officielles de l'ISO (anglais, français et russe), l'ISO 6360-3:2005 donne les termes équivalents en allemand; ces derniers sont publiés sous la responsabilité du comité membre d'Allemagne (DIN). Toutefois, seuls les termes donnés dans les langues officielles peuvent être considérés comme termes ISO.

This document (EN ISO 6360-3:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106
"Art dentaire" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry", the secretariat
of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2006, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2006.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
