Paints and varnishes - Determination of the effect of heat (ISO 3248:2016)

ISO 3248:2016 specifies a method for determining the resistance of single coatings or multi-coat systems of paints, varnishes or related products to changes in gloss and/or colour, blistering, cracking and/or detachment from the substrate under conditions of a specified temperature.
This procedure is applicable to products intended for use on domestic radiators or other articles likely to be subjected to similar temperatures.

Beschichtungsstoffe - Bestimmung der Auswirkung von Wärme (ISO 3248:2016)

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Beständigkeit einzelner Schichten oder eines Mehrschichtsystems aus Lacken, Anstrichstoffen und ähnlichen Beschichtungsstoffen gegen Änderung von Glanz und/oder Farbe, Blasenbildung, Rissbildung und/oder Ablösen vom Substrat bei einer festgelegten Temperatur fest.
Dieses Verfahren ist für Heizkörper im Wohnbereich oder andere Gegenstände anwendbar, die ähnlichen Temperaturen ausgesetzt sind.

L'ISO 3248 :2016 prescrit une méthode pour déterminer la résistance des couches uniques ou des systèmes multicouches de peintures, de vernis ou de produits assimilés au changement de brillant et/ou de couleur, au cloquage, au craquelage et/ou au décollement de leur subjectile dans des conditions d'exposition à une température spécifiée.
La méthode est applicable aux produits destinés à être utilisés sur des radiateurs à usage domestique ou sur d'autres articles susceptibles d'être exposés à des températures similaires.

Ta mednarodni standard določa metodo za ugotavljanje odpornosti enopokrivnih ali večpokrivnih sistemov barv, lakov ali sorodnih izdelkov na spremembe v sijaju in/ali barvi, mehurjenje, pokanje in/ali odstop od podlage pod pogoji določene temperature.
Ta postopek se uporablja za proizvode, namenjene za uporabo na radiatorjih za domačo uporabo ali drugih izdelkih, za katere obstaja verjetnost, da bodo izpostavljeni podobnim temperaturam.

This document (EN ISO 3248:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 “Paints and
varnishes” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2017, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
