Analytical colorimetry - Part 3: Special indices (ISO 18314-3:2015)
ISO 18314-3:2015 specifies different methods of calculating special indices, which are generally used to describe lightness respectively jetness of samples including chroma or hue within one colour-coordinate.
ISO 18314-3:2015 is applicable to tristimulus values and chromaticity coordinates calculated using colour-matching functions of the CIE 1964 standard colourimetric system. It can be used for the specification of colour stimuli perceived as belonging to a reflecting or transmitting object, where a one-dimensional value is required.

La présente partie de l'ISO 18314 spécifie les méthodes de calcul de plusieurs indices spéciaux, qui sont généralement employés pour décrire la clarté ou la profondeur du noir d'échantillons avec la saturation ou la teinte pour une coordonnée monochromatique.
La présente partie de l'ISO 18314 est applicable aux composantes trichromatiques et aux coordonnées trichromatiques calculées à l'aide de fonctions colorimétriques du système de référence colorimétrique CIE 1964. Elle peut être utilisée pour la spécification de stimulus de couleur se rapportant à des objets qui réfléchissent ou qui transmettent la lumière, pour lesquels une valeur unidimensionnelle est nécessaire.

ISO 18314-3:2015 določa različne metode izračunavanja posebnih indeksov, ki se običajno uporabljajo za opisovanje svetlosti oziroma temnosti vzorcev, vključno s kromatskimi lastnostmi ali odtenki znotraj ene barvne koordinate.
ISO 18314-3:2015 se uporablja za trikromatske vrednosti in kromatske koordinate, izračunane s funkcijami ujemanja barv v skladu s standardnim kolorimetričnim sistemom iz standarda CIE 1964. Uporablja se lahko za specifikacijo barvnih stimulov, dojetih kot refleksni ali oddajni predmeti, pri čemer je zahtevana enodimenzionalna vrednost.

The text of ISO 18314-3:2015 has been prepared by Technical Committee 256 "Pigments, dyestuffs and
extenders”of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
EN ISO 18314-3:2018 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 298 “Pigments and extenders” the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria,
