Resilient floor coverings - Polyvinyl chloride floor coverings on jute backing or on polyester felt backing or on polyester felt with polyvinyl chloride backing - Specification

This European Standard specifies the characteristics of floor coverings based on polyvinyl chloride and modifications thereof, on jute or polyester backing or on polyester felt with polyvinyl chloride backing, supplied in either tile or roll form. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice the standard includes a classification system (see EN 685) based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings should give satisfactory service.

Diese europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Bodenbelägen auf der Basis von Polyvinylchlorid und dessen Modifikationen, ausgestattet mit einem Rücken aus Jute oder Polyesterfilz oder aus Polyesterfilz mit einem Rücken aus Polyvinylchlorid, fest, die sowohl in Form von Platten als auch als Rollen geliefert werden. Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem (siehe EN 685) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich wäre.

La présente norme européenne prescrit les caractéristiques des revêtements de sol à base de polychlorure de vinyle et ses modifications sur support de jute oupolyester ou sur support de polyester avec polychlorure de vinyle sous forme de dalles ou de rouleau. Pour aider le consommateur à faire son choix, la norme inclut un système de classification (voir l'EN 685) basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit où ces revêtements de sol devraient rendre un service satisfaisant.
