EN ISO 6360-6:2004

Dentistry - Number coding system for rotary instruments - Part 6: Specific characteristics of abrasive instruments (ISO 6360-6:2004)

ISO 6360-6:2004 specifies the code numbers for specific characteristics of rotary abrasive instruments used in dentistry. This three-digit number forms the fourth group of three digits in the 15-digit overall number, the principles of which are explained in ISO 6360-1 and ISO 6360-2.
ISO 6360-6:2004 is also applicable to dental polishers which are considered as abrasive instruments.
NOTE In addition to terms for rotary instruments and accessories used in two of the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), ISO 6360-6:2004 gives the equivalent terms in the German language; these are published under the responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.

Dieser Teil von ISO 6360 enthält Kennzahlen für besondere Eigenschaften von Schleifinstrumenten. Die dreistellige Nummer bildet die vierte Gruppe mit drei Zahlen in der 15-stelligen Gesamtnummer, deren Grundprinzipien in ISO 6360-1 und ISO 6360-2 beschrieben werden.
Dieser Teil von ISO 6360 ist auch für Dentalpolierer anwendbar, die als Schleifinstrumente angesehen werden.

L'ISO 6360-6:2004 spécifie les codes correspondant à des caractéristiques spécifiques des instruments abrasifs. Ce numéro à trois chiffres forme le quatrième groupe de trois chiffres du code à 15 chiffres, dont les principes sont expliqués dans l'ISO 6360-1 et l'ISO 6360-2.
L'ISO 6360-6:2004 est également applicable aux polisseurs dentaires qui sont considérés comme des instruments abrasifs.
NOTE En complément des termes relatifs aux instruments rotatifs et leurs accessoires en français et anglais, deux des trois langues officielles de l'ISO, l'ISO 6360-6:2004 donne les termes équivalents en allemand; ces termes sont publiés sous la responsabilité du comité membre d'Allemagne (DIN). This document (EN ISO 6360-6:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106
"Dentistry" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry", the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2004, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2004.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus,
