Ladders - Part 8: Ladders with a separate platform

This document specifies specific design characteristics, requirements and testing for a product comprising a ladder consisting of two parts and one separate platform where the platform height in the position of use is no higher than 1 m, with a maximum span of 1,5 m, and the platform is intended for use by one person at a time. The maximum total load is 150 kg.
The ladder can have more than two parts and can be used without the platform.
This document is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 131 1:2015+A1:2019, EN 131 2:2010+A2:2017 and EN 131 3:2018. To cover all the relevant safety requirements for the products(s) in its scope, this document (providing general/common requirements for a whole ladder family) is intended to be applied together with one of those standards as specified in the scope (providing specific requirements for a particular category of ladder within this family).
This document is not applicable to:
-   mobile access and working towers which are specified in EN 1004 1:2020 ;
-   products consisting of two separate ladders.

Dieses Dokument legt spezifische Konstruktionsmerkmale, Anforderungen und Prüfungen für ein Produkt, bestehend aus einer Leiter aus mindestens zwei Teilen und einer separaten Plattform fest. Die Plattform-höhe beträgt in Gebrauchsstellung nicht mehr als 1 m bei einer Stützweite von höchstens 1,5 m, und die Plattform ist zur Benutzung durch jeweils eine Person vorgesehen. Die maximale Nutzlast beträgt 150 kg.
Die Leiter kann aus mehr als zwei Teilen bestehen und auch ohne die Plattform verwendet werden.
Dieses Dokument ist für die Verwendung in Verbindung mit EN 131 1:2015+A1:2019, EN 131 2:2010+A2:2017 und EN 131 3:2018 vorgesehen. Um alle relevanten Sicherheitsanforderungen für das Produkt/die Produkte im Anwendungsbereich abzudecken (allgemeine/gemeinsame Anforderungen für eine ganze Leiterfamilie), ist dieses Dokument für die Verwendung gemeinsam mit einer der im Anwendungsbereich festgelegten Normen vorgesehen (spezifische Anforderungen für eine bestimmte Leiterkategorie innerhalb dieser Familie).
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für:
-   fahrbare Arbeitsbühnen, die in EN 1004 1:2020  festgelegt sind;
-   Produkte, die aus zwei separaten Leitern bestehen.

1   Domaine d’application
Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques de conception, exigences et essais spécifiques d’un produit comprenant une échelle composée de deux plans et d’une plate forme séparée dont la hauteur en position d’utilisation ne dépasse pas 1 m, avec une portée maximale de 1,5 m ; la plate forme est conçue pour être utilisée par une personne à la fois. Sa charge totale maximale est de 150 kg.
L’échelle peut comporter plus de deux plans et peut être utilisée sans la plate forme.
Le présent document est destiné à être utilisé conjointement avec l’EN 131 1:2015+A1:2019, l’EN 131 2:2010+A2:2017 et l’EN 131 3:2018. Afin de couvrir toutes les exigences de sécurité pertinentes pour le ou les produits entrant dans son domaine d’application, le présent document (qui fournit des exigences générales/communes pour toute une famille d’échelles) est destiné à s’appliquer conjointement avec l’une des normes spécifiées dans le domaine d’application (qui fournit des exigences spécifiques pour une catégorie particulière d’échelles dans cette famille).
Le présent document ne s’applique pas :
-   aux échafaudages roulants en éléments préfabriqués qui sont spécifiés dans l’EN 1004 1:2020  ;
-   aux produits composés de deux échelles distinctes.
