Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-92: Particular requirements for pedestrian-controlled mains-operated lawn scarifiers and aerators

Deals with the safety of pedestrian-controlled mains-operated electric lawn scarifiers and aerators. These scarifiers have rotating cutters for regenerating lawns by, for instance, combing out grass thatch and moss, or by cutting vertically into the lawn face. These scarifiers are designed primarily for home use, with a rated voltage not more than 250 V single phase. For lawnmowers, see IEC 60335-2-77; for lawn trimmers, see IEC 60335-2-91. The contents of the corrigendum of May 2003 have been included in this copy.

Ta evropski standard določa varnostne zahteve in njihovo preverjanje za načrtovanje ter konstrukcijo ročno upravljanih rahljalnikov in prezračevalnikov, priključenih na električno omrežje, v nadaljnjem besedilu: »stroji«, ki so zasnovani za obnavljanje trate, in sicer na primer z izčesavanjem trave, slame in mahu ali navpičnim rezanjem v površino trate z uporabo zobcev, ki se vrtijo okoli vodoravne osi. Ta standard se uporablja v povezavi s 1. delom.
OPOMBA 1: Rahljalnikom zemlje se reče tudi grablje za trato.
Ta evropski standard se ne uporablja za nenapajane rahljalnike in prezračevalnike, baterijsko napajane rahljalnike in prezračevalnike, rahljalnike in prezračevalnike z navpično osjo ali tiste prezračevalnike, ki režejo v zemljo
s povratnim gibanjem, ter stroje s sedežem.
Ta evropski standard se ne uporablja za
– vrtne kosilnice (EN 60335-2-77);
– motorne kose za trate (EN 60335-2-91);
– motorne kose za robove trat (EN 60335-2-91);
– izdelovalce tratnih robov, gonilnike mlatilcev, kosilce s srpom na drogu ali poljedelske kosilce.
Ta evropski standard se ne uporablja za prezračevalnike/rahljalnike, izdelane pred izdajo tega dokumenta.
Ta evropski standard opisuje vsa večja tveganja, ki jih predstavljajo ročno upravljani rahljalniki in prezračevalniki travne ruše, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z njihovim namenom in pod pogoji razumno predvidene nepravilne uporabe.
OPOMBA 2: Stroji z motorjem z zgorevanjem so obravnavani v standardu EN 13684.
