To točko 1. dela nadomešča naslednje besedilo. Ta del standarda IEC 60335 obravnava varnost generatorjev impulzov za električne ograje, katerih nazivna napetost ne presega 250 V in s pomočjo katerih so lahko žice ograje v kmetijskih ograjah, ograjah za odganjanje domačih ali divjih živali in varnostnih ograjah elektrificirane ali nadzorovane.
OPOMBA 101: Primeri generatorjev impulzov za električne ograje, ki spadajo na področje uporabe tega standarda so: – električni generatorji impulzov; – baterijski generatorji impulzov, primerni za priključitev na električno omrežje, kot je prikazano na slikah 101 in 102; – generatorji impulzov za električne ograje, ki delujejo na nepolnljive baterije (vgrajene ali na voljo ločeno). Ta standard na splošno ne vključuje primerov: – ko aparate brez nadzora uporabljajo majhni otroci ali onemogle osebe; – ko se majhni otroci igrajo z aparati.
OPOMBA 102: Opozoriti je treba, da: – so za aparate, ki so namenjeni za uporabo na krovu ladij ali letal, morda potrebne dodatne zahteve; – v številnih državah nacionalni zdravstveni organi, nacionalni organi, odgovorni za varstvo pri delu, nacionalni organi za oskrbo z vodo ter drugi podobni organi določajo dodatne zahteve.
OPOMBA 103: Ta standard se ne uporablja za: – električne ovratnice za usposabljanje živali; – aparate, ki so namenjeni za uporabo na lokacijah, kjer veljajo posebne razmere, kot je prisotnost korozivne ali eksplozivne atmosfere (prah, hlapi ali plin); – polnilnike baterij, ki so na voljo ločeno (IEC 60335-2-29); – električne ribiške stroje (IEC 60335-2-86); – električno opremo za omamljanje živali (IEC 60335-2-87); – aparate za medicinsko uporabo (IEC 60601).
