Composite string insulator units for overhead lines with a nominal voltage greater than 1 kV - Part 2: Dimensional and electrical characteristics

Is applicable to composite string insulators with a specified mechanical load (SML) of 40 kN and 70 kN for a.c. overhead distribution lines with a nominal voltage greater than 1 000 V and a frequency not greater than 100 Hz. It also applies to insulators of similar design used in substations or on electric traction lines.

S'applique aux isolateurs composites de charge mécanique spécifiée (CMS) de 40 kN et 70 kN destinés aux lignes aériennes à courant alternatif de tension nominale supérieure à 1 000 V et de fréquence inférieure ou égale à 100 Hz. Elle est également applicable à des isolateurs similaires utilisés dans les postes de transformation et sur les lignes de traction.

Ta del standarda IEC 61466 se uporablja za kompozitne izolatorje z opredeljeno mehansko obremenitvijo (SML) 40 kN in 70 kN za nadzemna razdelilna omrežja izmeničnega toka z nazivno napetostjo nad 1000 V in frekvenco, ki ne presega 100 Hz.
Uporablja se tudi za izolatorje podobne zasnove, uporabljene v podpostajah ali električnih vlečnih vodih. Ta standard se uporablja za izolatorje kompozitne vrste s spojniki v skladu s standardom IEC 61466-1.
Ta standard predpisuje določene vrednosti za električne in dimenzijske karakteristike kompozitnih izolatorjev za nadzemne distribucijske vode z najvišjo ravnjo napetostnega udara 325 kV in podano mehansko obremenitvijo (SML) 40 kN in 70 kN.

FOREWORD

1) The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising

all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of the IEC is to promote

international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To

this end and in addition to other activities, the IEC publishes International Standards. Their preparation is

entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested in the subject dealt with may

participate in this preparatory work. International, governmental and non-governmental organizations liaising

with the IEC also participate in this preparation. The IEC collaborates closely with the International Organization

for Standardization (ISO) in accordance with conditions determined by agreement between the two

organizations.

2) The formal decisions or agreements of the IEC on technical matters express, as nearly as possible, an

international consensus of opinion on the relevant subjects since each technical committee has representation
