Diese europäische Norm enthält Anforderungen an die umweltgerechte Gestaltung von Kleinleistungstrans¬formatoren, die der Reihe EN 61558 entsprechen und auf die in der Verordnung (EU) Nr. 548/2014 der Kommission zur Umsetzung der Richtlinie 2009/125/EG Bezug genommen wird. Diese europäische Norm ist auf Transformatoren mit 50-Hz-Wechselspannungseingang und -ausgang mit einer Bemessungsleistung von 1 kVA oder mehr und einer Spannung unterhalb von 1 kV mit Ausnahme der in der Verordnung ausgenommenen Transformatoren anwendbar.
