Hand-held motor-operated electric tools - Safety - Part 2-22: Particular requirements for cut-off machines

IEC 60745-2-22:2011 applies to cut-off machines fitted with one bonded reinforced wheel of Type 41 or Type 42, orone or more diamond cut-off wheels with the peripheral gaps, if any, not exceeding 10 mm and with a rated speed not exceeding a peripheral speed of the wheel of 100 m/s at rated capacity and a rated wheel capacity range of 55 mm to 410 mm. These machines are intended to cut materials such as metals, concrete, masonry, glass and tile. This standard does not apply to grinders, sanders, or polishers, even if they can be converted to a cut-off machine, which are covered by IEC 60745-2-3, circular saws which are covered by IEC 60745-2-5.

La CEI 60745-2-22:2011 applique aux tronçonneuses à disques équipées d'une meule renforcée par un produit aggloméré de Type 41 ou de Type 42, ou d'une ou plusieurs meule(s) diamantée(s) à moyeu plat ou déporté et espaces périphériques, le cas échéant, ne dépassant pas 10 mm et dont la vitesse assignée ne dépasse pas une vitesse périphérique de la meule de 100 m/s à la capacité assignée et avec une gamme de meules dont la capacité assignée s'étend de 55 mm à 410 mm. Ces machines sont destinées à couper des matériaux tels que les métaux, le béton, la maçonnerie, le verre et les carrelages. Cette norme ne s'applique pas aux meuleuses, ponceuses ou lustreuses, même si elles peuvent être trransformées en tronçonneuses à disques, qui sont couvertes par la CEI 60745-2-3, aux scies circulaires qui sont

FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
