FOREWORD
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation
of national standards institutes (IS0 Member Bodies). The work of developing
International Standards is carried out thrûugh IS0 Technical Committees. Every
Member Body interested in a subject for which a Technical Committee has been set
up has the right to be represented on that Committee. International organizations,
governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work.
Draft International Standards adopted by the Technical Committees are circulated
to the Member Bodies for approval before their acceptance as International
Standards by the IS0 Council.
Prior to 1972, the results of the work ùf the Technical Committees were published
as IS0 Recommendations; these documents are now in the process of being
transformed into International Standards. As part of this process, Technical
Committee ISO/TC 39 has reviewed IS0 Recommendation R 299 and found it
suitable for transformation. International Standard IS0 299 therefore replaces IS0
Recommendation R 299-1971 - 2nd edition.
IS0 Recommendation R 299 was approved by the Member Bodies of the following

1 OBJET ET DOMAINE D'APPLICATION
La présente Norme Internationale fixe les dimensions et la distance d'espacement des rainures a T pour les tables de
mach i nes-ou ti Is.
Elle fixe également les dimensions des boulons à utiliser dans ces rainures.

2 DIMENSIONS DES RAINURES ET DES BOULONS
Les dimensions des rainures à T et des boulons correspondants sont spécifiées dans le tableau 1, en millimetres et en inches,
sauf pour les valeurs au-dessous de 10 mm et au-dessus de 42 mm, pour lesquelles il n'existe pas de valeurs correspondantes en
inches. Les valeurs correspondantes permettent l'interchangeabilité pratique entre machines exécutées dans l'un ou l'autre des
deux systèmes de mesures, ainsi que, dans de nombreux cas, l'interchangeabilité avec les machines jusqu'ici en service.
Pour les rainures de guidage, il n'y a pas interchangeabilité d'un système de mesure à l'autre, puisque la dimension
nominale A n'est pas identiquement la même en millimetres et en inches.
