BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 355/VI, Rolling bearings - Tapered roller bearings - Boundary dimensions -
Metric series - Dimension series 31 and 32, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 4, Rolling bearings,
the Secretariat of which is held by the Sveriges Standardiseringskommission (SIS).
Work on this question led to the adoption of Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 1644, which was circulated

to all the IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry in October 1968. It was approved, subject to a few modifications of an
editorial nature, by the following Member Bodies :

1. SCOPE
This IS0 Recommendation specifies the boundary dimensions, in millimetres and in inches, of tapered roller
bearings of the metric series, dimension series 3 1 and 32.

La Recommandation HO/R 355/VI, Roulements - Dimensions déncombrement des roulements a
rouleaux coniques ~ Séries métriques - Séries de dimensions 31 et 32, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique
ISO/TC 4, Roulements, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par la Sveriges Standardiseringskommission (SIS).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question aboutirent à l’adoption du Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 1644

qui fut soumis, en octobre 1968, à l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de I’ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve
de quelques modifications d’ordre rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants :
