Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO

committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has

Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.
International Standard ISO 113 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 4, Rolling bearings.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 113:1994), which has been technically revised and
extended. A new series of housings called “Four bolt plummer block housings” has been added. The size range of
the earlier housings, which are now called “Two bolt plummer block housings” has been extended with larger sizes
for up to 290 mm housing seating diameter.

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies boundary dimensions for two bolt plummer block housings primarily intended
for rolling bearings in diameter series 0, 1, 2 and 3 as specified in ISO 15, and for four bolt plummer block housings
primarily intended for rolling bearings in diameter series 0, 1 and 2.
