ISO 4397:1993

Fluid power systems and components — Connectors and associated components — Nominal outside diameters of tubes and nominal inside diameters of hoses

Specifies two series of diameters: a series of nominal outside diameters for rigid or semi-rigid tubes, irrespective of material composition, and a series of nominal inside diameters for hoses made of rubber or plastic.

La présente Norme internationale prescrit deux séries de diamètres à utiliser pour les raccords des systèmes de transmissions hydrauliques et pneumatiques et les éléments qui leur sont associés: a) une série de diamètres extérieurs nominaux pour tubes rigides ou semi-rigides hydrauliques et pneumatiques, quelle que soit la composition du matériau; b) une série de diamètres intérieurs nominaux pour tuyaux flexibles hydrauliques et pneumatiques en caoutchouc ou en matières plastiques.

Introduction
In fluid power systems, power is transmitted and controlled through a fluid
(liquid or gas) under pressure within an enclosed circuit. Components are
interconnected through their ports and associated fluid conductor fitting
ends. Tubes are rigid or semi-rigid conductors; hoses are flexible conduc-
tors.

L’ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une féderation

Introduction
Dans les systémes de transmissions hydrauliques et pneumatiques,
l’énergie est transmise et commandée par l’intermédiaire d’un fluide (li-
quide ou gaz) sous pression circulant dans un circuit. Les éléments com-
muniquent par leurs orifices et par des raccords d’extrémité associés où
circule le fluide. Les tubes sont des conduites rigides ou semi-rigides; les
tuyaux sont des conduites souples.
