Resilient floor coverings - Determination of wear resistance - Part 1: Stuttgart test

This European Standard describes the Stuttgart method for determining the wear resistance of the wear layer of polyvinyl chloride floor coverings under laboratory conditions. The method is applicable to polyvinyl chloride floor coverings with smooth surfaces. It can be used to determine the wear resistance of surfaces against abrasion and particularly for ranking different wear layer types within one type of product. It is not appropriate for comparing the wear resistance of different materials e.g. rubber and polyvinyl chloride.

Es ist anwendbar, um das Verschleißverfahren von Oberfla(chen gegenu(ber Abrieb zu ermitteln und erlaubt innerhalb eines Produkttyps eine Einteilung in Typen mit verschiedener Nutzschicht.

La présente Norme européenne décrit la méthode de Stuttgart pour la détermination de la résistance a l'usure de la couche d'usage des revetements de sol en chlorure de polyvinyle dans des conditions de laboratoire. La méthode s'applique aux revetements de sol en chlorure de polyvinyle ` surface lisse. Elle peut etre utilisée pour déterminer la résistance ` l'usure par abrasion des surfaces et particulierement pour classer les différentes couches ` l'intérieur d'un meme type de produit.
