Glass in building - Assembly rules - Glazing wedges (ISO/DIS 14439:2007)

This European Standard applies to all the basic types of flat glass (sheet, plate and float, cast, wired and not-wired, clear and tinted), as well as to allthe derived processed flat glasses (laminated, toughened, coated and insulated glasses) such as are defined in appropriate European Standards. For certain glass products additional considerations may apply. The Standard does not apply to certain other products such as curved, corrugated or channel-shaped glasses. Structural glazing is excluded.

Diese Norm legt die Funktionen, Anforderungen und den Einbau von Verglasungsklötzen in einen Rahmen während seiner Herstellung, seines Transports, seines Einbaus und seiner Betriebsdauer fest. Die Norm gilt für Verglasungsklötze, die für alle Arten von Flachglas (gezogenes Flachglas, Floatglas, Gussglas mit und ohne Drahteinlage, klar und eingefärbt) sowie für weiterverarbeitete Flachglaserzeugnisse, verwendet werden. Für bestimmte Flachglaserzeugnisse und besondere Anwendungen, z. B. Feuerwiderstandsfähigkeit, können zusätzliche Überlegungen in Betracht kommen.
Diese Norm gilt für alle vertikalen oder nahezu vertikalen (z. B. Verglasungen, mit einer Neigung von weniger als 15 ° zur Vertikalen) Verglasungen in allen festen und öffnungsfähigen Rahmen, die in Gebäuden verwendet werden.
Geklebte Glaskonstruktionen sind ausgeschlossen von dieser Internationalen Norm.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
