La présente méthode n'est pas appropriée pour les surfaces ayant une couverture végétale de moins de 50 % (celle ci étant mesurée conformément au prEN 12231) ; en effet, du fait que la compression de l'herbe est susceptible d'être accentuée, il est possible que l'on obtienne des valeurs anormalement faibles et non représentatives.
