Building hardware - Cylinders for locks - Requirements and test methods

This European Standard applies to cylinders for such locks as are normally used in buildings and are designed to be used with cylinders. This European Standard specifies performance and other requirements for the strength, security, durability, performance and corrosion resistance of cylinders and their original keys. It establishes two categories of use based on performance tests and five grades of security based on design requirements and on performance tests that simulate attack.

Diese Europäische Norm enthält Festlegungen für die Leistungsfähigkeit sowie weitere Anforderungen an die Festigkeit, Verschlußsicherheit, Dauerhaftigkeit und die Korrosionsbeständigkeit von Schließzylindern und ihren Originalschlüsseln. Sie klassifiziert zwei Gebrauchsklassen beruhend auf Dauerfunktionsprüfungen und fünf Klassen für Verschlußsicherheit usw.

La présente norme européenne s'applique aux cylindres pour les serrures qui sont normalement utilisées dans le bâtiment et qui sont conçues pour fonctionner avec des cylindres. Cette norme européenne spécifie la performance et autres prescriptions relatives a la résistance, la sécurité, l'endurance, la performance et la résistance a la corrosion des cylindres et de leurs clés d'origine. Elle établit deux catégories d'utilisation basées sur des essais de performance et cinq degrés de sécurité basés sur des prescriptions de conception et sur des essais de performance simulant une attaque.
