This standard specifies the requirements for septic tanks assembled in situ from prefabricated kits and ancillary equipment used for the partial treatment of domestic wastewater for a population up to 50 PT. Pipe sizes, loads, watertightness, marking and quality control are specified.
This standard does not cover septic tanks receiving grey water only.

Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen an vor Ort einzubauende Faulgruben aus vorgefertigten Bausätzen und der zugehörigen Ausrüstung fest, die für die Teilbehandlung von häuslichem Schmutzwasser für bis zu 50 EW verwendet werden. Enthalten sind Festlegungen zu Rohrdurchmesser, Lastannahmen, Wasserdichtheit, Kennzeichnung und Qualitätssicherung.
Die vorliegende Norm gilt nicht für Faulgruben, in denen ausschließlich Grauwasser behandelt wird.

Ta standard določa zahteve za greznice, sestavljene na mestu vgradnje iz predizdelanih kompletov in pomožne opreme, kjer je to primerno, ki se uporabljajo zunaj stavb za delno čiščenje gospodinjske odpadne vode za obremenitev do 50 PE. Določeni so velikosti, obremenitve, vodotesnost, označevanje in vrednotenje skladnosti.
Ta standard se ne uporablja za greznice, ki sprejemajo izključno sivo vodo.

EN 12566-4:2007 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 12566-4:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 165 “Wastewater engineering”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. Part 3: Packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants; NOTE 3 This part specifies the requirements and test methods used to evaluate packaged wastewater treatment plants which are required to treat wastewater to a declared quality. Part 4: Septic tanks assembled in situ from prefabricated kits (this standard); Part 5: Pre-treated effluent filtration systems (in preparation as CEN/TR); Part 6: Prefabricated treatment units used for septic tank effluent (in preparation); Part 7: Prefabricated tertiary treatment units (in preparation). 1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for septic tanks assembled in situ from prefabricated kits and ancillary equipment where applicable, used outside buildings for the partial treatment of domestic wastewater for a population up to 50 PT. Pipe sizes, loads, watertightness, marking and evaluation of conformity are specified. Nominal sizes Septic tank according to this standard shall be designated according to EN 12566-1. SIST EN 12566-4:2008
EN 12566-4:2007 (E) 6 5 Specifications Products according to this standard shall meet the requirements of EN 12566-1:2000, Clause 5. In addition to the specifications of EN 12566-1, elastomeric seals for joints shall conform to EN 681-1, where applicable. Where the product consists of more than one tank, the evaluation of the structural behaviour of the range shall be carried out according to EN 12566-1 for each different sized tank. Where the product consists of more than one tank, the hydraulic efficiency test shall be done according to EN 12566-1 after assembling the tanks. Pipe connections and ancillary equipments shall be in accordance with the relevant standards. Durability is ensured by the product passing the relevant requirements for each essential characteristic, if they represent the state of the art. 6

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 12566-4:2007 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
CEN/TC 165 Odvajanje in čiščenje odpadne vode. Slovenski standard SIST EN 12566-4:2008 je prevod
evropskega standarda EN 12566-4:2007. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem
standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v enem izmed treh uradnih jezikov CEN. Slovensko
izdajo standarda je potrdil Strokovni svet SIST za splošno področje.
Odločitev za izdajo tega standarda je decembra 2007 sprejel Strokovni svet SIST za splošno področje.

Predgovor
Ta dokument (EN 12566-4:2007) je pripravil tehnični odbor CEN/TC 165 "Odvajanje in čiščenje odpadne
vode", katerega sekretariat vodi DIN.
Ta evropski standard mora dobiti status nacionalnega standarda bodisi z objavo istovetnega besedila
ali z razglasitvijo najpozneje do maja 2008, nasprotujoče nacionalne standarde pa je treba umakniti
najpozneje avgusta 2009.
Opozoriti je treba na možnost, da so lahko nekateri elementi tega dokumenta predmet patentnih pravic.
CEN [in/ali CENELEC] ne prevzemata odgovornosti za identifikacijo nekaterih ali vseh takih patentnih
pravic.
Ta dokument je bil pripravljen na podlagi mandata, ki sta ga Evropska komisija in Evropsko
združenje za prosto trgovino podelila CEN, in podpira bistvene zahteve direktive (direktiv) EU.

OPOMBA 3: Določa zahteve in preskusne metode za vrednotenje predizdelanih čistilnih naprav za odpadno vodo, ki
morajo prečistiti odpadno vodo v skladu z navedeno kakovostjo.
– 4. del: Montažne greznice, izdelane na mestu vgradnje (ta standard)
– 5. del: Filtrirne naprave za predčiščene hišne odpadne vode (v pripravi kot CEN/TR)
– 6. del: Predizdelane enote za obdelavo grezničnih odplak (v pripravi)
– 7. del: Predizdelane terciarne čistilne enote (v pripravi)
Skladno z notranjimi predpisi CEN/CENELEC morajo ta evropski standard prevzeti nacionalne

1 Področje uporabe
Ta standard določa zahteve za greznice, sestavljene na mestu vgradnje iz predizdelanih kompletov in
pomožne opreme, kjer je to primerno, ki se uporabljajo zunaj stavb za delno čiščenje gospodinjske
odpadne vode za obremenitev do 50 PE. Določeni so velikosti, obremenitve, vodotesnost, označevanje in
vrednotenje skladnosti.
Ta standard se ne uporablja za greznice, ki sprejemajo izključno sivo vodo.

OPOMBA 2: Najmanjša raven delovanja (hidravlična učinkovitost in obnašanje konstrukcije) se določi na podlagi preskusa
enega od modelov v seriji.
