This European Standard specifies the requirements for cable boxes, Type 1, in which the cable cores
are terminated. The cable boxes are suitable for use on transformers defined in EN 50588-2,
“Transformers with Cable Boxes”, for side mounted or cover mounted use. The cable boxes are
suitable for operation indoors and outdoors under environmental conditions specified in EN 50588-1.
Important design and construction requirements of the cable boxes are given.

Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen für Kabelanschlusskästen des Typs 1 fest, in denen die Kabeladern abgeschlossen sind. Die Kabelanschlusskästen sind für den Einsatz an Transformatoren geeignet, wie sie in EN 50588-2 "Transformatoren mit Kabelanschlusskästen" für Seitenwandanordnung oder Deckelanordnung definiert sind. Die Kabelanschlusskästen sind für den Innenraum- und Freilufteinsatz unter den in EN 50588-1 festgelegten Umweltbedingungen geeignet. Wichtige Anforderungen für Konstruktion und Bauweise von Kabelanschlusskästen werden angegeben.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences relatives aux boîtes à câbles de Type 1, dans lesquelles se terminent les âmes de câble. Les boîtes à câbles sont adaptées à une utilisation sur les transformateurs définis dans l'EN 50588-2, "Transformateurs avec boîtes à câbles", à montage latéral ou sur le couvercle. Les boîtes à câbles sont adaptées à une utilisation intérieure et extérieure dans les conditions d'environnement spécifiées dans l'EN 50588-1. Des exigences importantes en matière de conception et de construction des boîtes à câbles sont données.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve za kabelske omarice tipa 1, v katerih se kabelske žile končajo. Kabelske omarice so primerne za uporabo v transformatorjih, določenih v EN 50588-2, »Transformatorji s kabelskimi omaricami«, za namestitev ob strani ali na pokrov. Kabelske omarice so primerne za uporabo znotraj in zunaj pod okoljskimi pogoji, določenimi v standardu EN 50588-1.
Navedene so pomembne zahteve za projektiranje in konstrukcijo kabelskih omaric.

1 Scope
