This part of ISO 1833 specifies a method, using dimethylformamide, to determine the percentage of acrylic, modacrylic, chlorofibre or elastane, after removal of non-fibrous matter, in textiles made of binary mixtures of - acrylic, certain modacrylics, certain chlorofibres, certain elastanes and - animal fibres, cotton (scoured, kiered or bleached), viscose, cupro, modal, polyamide, polyester or glass fibres. It is applicable to animal hair, wool and silk dyed with pre-metallized dyes, but not to those dyed with after-chrome dyes.

In diesem Teil der ISO 1833 wird ein Dimethylformamid Verfahren zur Bestimmung des prozentualen Anteils an Polyacryl, Modacryl, Chlorfaser oder Elasthan, nach dem Abtrennen der nichtfaserigen Begleitstoffe, in Textilien aus binären Fasermischungen aus
Polyacrylfasern, bestimmten Modacrylfasern, bestimmten Chlorfasern, bestimmten Elasthanfasern
und
tierischen Fasern, Baumwolle (entschlichtet, gebeucht oder gebleicht), Viskose, Cupro, Modal, Polyamid, Polyester oder Glasfasern
festgelegt.
Das Verfahren ist anwendbar auf Tierhaar, Wolle und Seide, die mit vormetallisierten Farbstoffen gefärbt wurden; das Verfahren ist nicht anwendbar auf die mit Nachchromierfarbstoffen gefärbten Fasern.

L'ISO 1833-12:2006 spécifie une méthode de détermination, au diméthylformamide, du pourcentage de fibres acryliques, modacryliques, de chlorofibres ou d'élasthannes, après élimination des matières non fibreuses, dans les textiles composés de mélanges binaires d'acrylique, certains modacryliques, certaines chlorofibres, certains élasthannes et de fibres animales, coton (lavé, débouilli ou blanchi), viscose, cupro, modal, polyamide, polyester ou fibres de verre.
Elle s'applique aux poils d'animaux, à la laine et la soie teints avec des colorants prémétallisés, mais non à ceux teints avec des colorants au chrome.

Ta del standarda ISO 1833 določa metodo z uporabo dimetilformamida za ugotavljanje odstotne vrednosti akrilnih, modakrilnih vlaken, klorovlaken ali elastana po odstranitvi nevlakenske snovi v tekstilijah iz dvokomponentnih mešanic - akrilnih, določenih modakrilnih vlaken, določenih klorovlaken, določenih elastanov in - živalskih vlaken, bombaža (izkuhanega, razškrobljenega ali beljenega), viskoze, kupro vlaken, modalnih vlaken, poliamidnih, poliestrskih ali steklenih vlaken. Velja za živalska vlakna, volno in svilo, barvana s predmetaliziranimi barvami, ne pa za tista, ki so barvana s pokromiranimi barvami.

The text of ISO 1833-12:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 “Textiles” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 1833-12:2010 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
