1.1   General
This document specifies the safety and performance requirements for industrial, commercial, garage doors and gates and barriers, intended for installation in areas in the reach of persons, and for which the main intended uses are giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises.
This document also covers commercial doors such as rolling shutters and rolling grilles used in retail premises which are mainly provided for the access of persons rather than vehicles or goods.
These doors can include manual pedestrian pass doors incorporated in the door leaf which are also covered by this document.
These devices can be manually or power operated.
1.2   Exclusions
This document does not apply to:
-   lock gates and dock gates;
-   doors on lifts;
-   doors on vehicles;
-   armoured doors;
-   doors mainly for the retention of animals, unless they are at the site perimeter;
-   theatre textile curtains;
-   horizontally moving power operated doors mainly intended for pedestrian use;
-   doors outside the reach of people (such as crane gantry fences);
-   railway barriers;
-   barriers intended solely for use by pedestrians;
-   barriers used solely for vehicles on motorways.

Tore - Produktnorm, Leistungseigenschaften

1.1   Allgemeines
Dieses Dokument legt die Sicherheits  und Leistungsanforderungen an Tore und Schranken fest, die für den Einbau in Zugangsbereichen von Personen vorgesehen sind und deren hauptsächlich vorgesehene Verwendung darin besteht, eine sichere Zufahrt für Waren und Fahrzeuge, begleitet oder geführt (gesteuert) von Personen, in industriellen, gewerblichen oder Wohnbereichen zu ermöglichen.
Dieses Dokument gilt auch für gewerbliche Tore, wie z. B. Rolltore und Rollgitter, die in Räumlichkeiten für den Einzelhandel eingesetzt werden und die weniger für den Zugang von Fahrzeugen oder Gütern als für den Zutritt von Personen bestimmt sind.
Zu diesen Toren können auch in den Torflügel eingebaute Schlupftüren gehören, die ebenfalls in diesem Dokument geregelt sind.
Diese Einrichtungen können hand  oder kraftbetätigt sein.
1.2   Ausnahmen
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für:
-   Schleusen  und Docktore;
-   Türen in Aufzügen;
-   Türen in Fahrzeugen;
-   gepanzerte Türen;
-   hauptsächlich für Tierhaltung verwendete Tore, außer wenn sich diese am Geländeperimeter befinden;
-   textile Theatervorhänge;
-   waagrecht bewegte, kraftbetätigte Tore, die hauptsächlich für die Nutzung durch Fußgänger bestimmt sind;
-   Tore außerhalb der Reichweite von Personen (z. B. Schutzgitter für Portalkrane);
-   Bahnschranken;
-   Schranken, die ausschließlich zur Nutzung durch Fußgänger vorgesehen sind;
-   Schranken, die ausschließlich für Fahrzeuge auf Fernstraßen verwendet werden.

1.1   Généralités
Le présent document spécifie les exigences de sécurité et de performances relatives aux portes et portails industriels, commerciaux et de garage et aux barrières, destinés à être installés dans des zones accessibles aux personnes et dont l’utilisation principale prévue est de permettre l’accès sécurisé de marchandises et de véhicules accompagnés ou conduits par des personnes, dans des locaux industriels et commerciaux ou des garages dans les zones d’habitation.
Le présent document traite également des portes commerciales, comme les fermetures à rideau à lames et les grilles à enroulement, utilisées dans les zones de vente au détail et dont l’utilisation principale prévue est de permettre l’accès des personnes plutôt que des véhicules ou des marchandises.
Ces portes peuvent inclure des portillons manuels pour piétons intégrés aux tabliers, qui sont également traités dans le présent document.
Ces produits peuvent être à manoeuvre manuelle ou motorisée.
1.2   Exclusions
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux :

-   doors mainly for the retention of animals, unless they are at the site perimeter ;
-   theatre textile curtains;
-   horizontally moving power operated doors mainly intended for pedestrian use;
-   doors outside the reach of people (such as crane gantry fences);
-   railway barriers;
-   barriers intended solely for use by pedestrians;
-   barriers used solely for vehicles on motorways.
Whenever the term "door" is used in this document, it shall be deemed to cover the full scope of types and variances of doors, gates and barriers in the scope of this Standard.
This European Standard does not deal with any specific requirements on noise emitted from power operated door, gate and barrier, intended for installation in areas in the reach of persons, and for which the main intended use is giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises as their noise emission is not considered to be a relevant hazard.
NOTE   Noise emission of power operated doors is not a significant hazard for the users of these products. It is a comfort aspect.
This European Standard is not applicable to machinery which are manufactured before the date of publication of the standard.

1.1   General
This European Standard specifies the safety and performance requirements, except resistance to fire and smoke control characteristics, for industrial, commercial, garage doors and gates and barriers, intended for installation in areas in the reach of persons, and for which the main intended uses are giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises.
Fire resisting and/or smoke control characteristics for industrial, commercial, garage doors and gates are covered by EN 16034.
This European Standard also covers commercial doors such as rolling shutters and rolling grilles used in retail premises which are mainly provided for the access of persons rather than vehicles or goods.
These doors can include pass doors incorporated in the door leaf which are also covered by this European Standard.
These devices can be manually or power operated.
This European Standard does not cover operation in environments where the electromagnetic disturbances are outside the range of those specified in EN 61000 6 3.
1.2   Exclusions
This European Standard does not apply to the following which are intended for a different use:
-   lock gates and dock gates;
-   doors on lifts;
-   doors on vehicles;
-   armoured doors;
-   doors mainly for the retention of animals;
-   theatre textile curtains;
-   horizontally moving power operated doors mainly intended for pedestrian use in accordance with EN 16361;
-   revolving doors of any size;
-   railway barriers;
-   barriers used solely for vehicles.
This European Standard does not cover the radio part of doors. If a radio operating device is used, the relevant ETSI standards should be applied in addition.
This European Standard does not contain any specific requirement for doors which are moving because of energy stored by dedicated means from human power such as manually tensioned springs.
This European Standard does not contain any specific requirements for doors on escape routes. The ability to open the door leaf safely and easily cannot normally be achieved by industrial, commercial and garage doors due to size, weight and/or mode of operation.
The noise emission of powered doors and gates is not considered to be a relevant hazard. Therefore this European Standard does not contain any specific requirements on noise in relation to the Machinery Directive.
1.3   Specific applications
This European Standard should also apply to power operated doors which have been created by the addition of power operation to an installed manual door in respect of the relevant requirements. Annex ZA does not apply to this kind of door.
It also identifies requirements and classes of performance for additional characteristics considered to be of importance to the trade.
When a door is part of the load carrying structure of the building the requirements of this European Standard can apply on a voluntary basis in addition to the requirements for the load carrying structure, which are not dealt with in this European Standard. Annex ZA does not apply for this kind of doors.

The doors may be manually or power operated. This document applies to all doors provided in accordance with EN 13241-1. The calculation can include different types of glazing, frames with or without thermal breaks, and different types of opaque panels and thermal bridge effects at the edge of the panel or joint between the glazed area, the frame area and the panel area. This paper does not include the effects of solar radiation, heat transfer caused by air leakage, calculation of condensation, additional heat transfer at the corners and edges of the door connections to the main building structure, or thermal effects between the door and the main building structure.

1.1   General
This European Standard applies for design, construction and testing of sensitive protective devices where the device is used to detect pedestrians including in particular applications, slow moving elderly persons, slow moving disabled persons and children who may be exposed to injury by power operated doors, gates and barriers, electrically powered from a public supply and intended for installation in areas in the reach of persons, and for which the main intended uses are giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial, public or residential premises.
This standard also covers safety devices for commercial doors such as rolling shutters and rolling grilles when used as doors on retail premises which are mainly provided for the access of persons rather than vehicles or goods.
This standard deals with all significant hazards listed in annex A and specifies requirements to eliminate or minimise them.
This standard covers the requirements for electrical powered safety devices using mains supply provided for installation on or used in conjunction with powered doors in order to avoid hazardous situations which can be encountered when a door is used normally.
The sensitive protective device is designed to give a change in the output signal switching device which may be used to provide protection for the person being at risk. It applies to ready to use sensitive protective device and integrated sensitive protective device (mounted on or connected to a power operated door in normal use).
This standard only applies to door safety devices manufactured after the date of publication.
1.2   Exclusions
This European Standard does not apply to protective equipment for installation on doors which are intended for a different use than the one described above such as:
-   lock gates and dock gates;
-   doors on lifts;
-   doors on vehicles;
-   doors mainly for the retention of animals;
-   theatre textile curtains;
