Furniture - Circularity - Evaluation method for dis/re-assembly capability

This document provides guidance to furniture manufacturers on the criteria to be considered in the design of a product in order to maximize the dis-/reassembly capability, and thus extend the lifespan of the product or its parts.
It does not contain requirements for different types of furniture, or their associated end use, but does offer a methodology that can be used to assess different designs, materials or construction methods when designing a product.

Dieses Dokument enthält eine Richtlinie für Möbelhersteller zu den Kriterien, die bei der Konstruktion eines Produktes zu berücksichtigen sind, um die De /Remontierbarkeit zu maximieren und somit die Lebensdauer des Produktes oder seiner Teile zu verlängern.
Es enthält keine Anforderungen an verschiedene Möbelarten oder ihren zugehörigen Verwendungszweck, gibt jedoch eine Methodologie an, die bei der Konstruktion eines Produktes zur Bewertung unterschiedlicher Ausführungen, Werkstoffe oder Bauverfahren angewendet werden kann.

Le présent document fournit aux fabricants d'ameublement des recommandations relatives aux critères à prendre en compte dans la conception d'un produit afin de maximiser sa capacité de démontage/remontage, et de prolonger ainsi sa durée de vie ou celle de ses parties.
Il ne contient pas d'exigence sur les différents types de mobilier ou sur l'utilisation finale associée, mais offre une méthodologie qui peut être utilisée pour évaluer différentes conceptions, matériaux ou méthodes d'assemblage lors de la conception d'un produit.

Ta dokument podaja smernice za proizvajalce pohištva o kriterijih, ki jih je treba upoštevati pri oblikovanju izdelka za doseganje največje stopnje razstavljivosti in ponovne sestavljivosti in s tem podaljšanje življenjske dobe izdelka ali njegovih delov.
Ne vsebuje zahtev za različne vrste pohištva ali z njimi povezano končno uporabo, vendar pa podaja metodologijo za ocenjevanje različnih zasnov, materialov in metod izdelave pri oblikovanju izdelka.

It does not include requirements for the durability of castors and height adjustment mechanisms.

This European standard specifies requirements on safety, strength and durability for all types of fully assembled beds used by adults in domestic and non-domestic environments including their components, such as bed frames, bed bases, mattresses and mattress pads (when they form a unit with the mattress) and, when supplied with the bed base, mattresses and mattress pads.
The tests are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.
With the exception of sleeping functions, it does not apply to foldaway beds.
It does not apply to bunk beds, high beds and medical beds where separate Standards exist, as well as waterbeds and air beds.
Additional requirements may be applicable to items that have additional functions, e.g. storage features, day beds and convertible sofa beds.
The durability test, clause 6.6.1, test 11, applies only to electrically operated beds.
It does not include requirements for the resistance to ageing, degradation, flammability and electrical safety.
