This standard defines appearance grades for European poplars
The standard applies to dry and green sawn timber , of thickness 18mm up to 34 mm and of width 100mm up to 250mm measured in a green state..
This standard does not apply to the strength grading of structural timber.

Diese Norm legt die Sortierung von Europäischen Pappeln nach dem Aussehen fest.
Diese Norm gilt für trockenes und frisches Schnittholz mit einer Dicke zwischen 15 mm und 34 mm und einer Breite zwischen 100 mm und 250 mm, gemessen im frischen Zustand.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für die Festigkeitssortierung von Bauholz.

La présente norme définit les classes d'aspect des peupliers Européens.
La norme s'applique aux bois sciés avivés secs et verts, d'épaisseur comprise entre 15 mm et 34 mm et de largeur comprise entre 100 mm et 250 mm, mesurés a l'état vert.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas au classement selon la résistance des bois de structure.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2005.
