Furniture - Strength, durability and safety - Requirements for domestic seating

This European standard specifies the minimum requirements for the safety, strength and durability of all types of domestic seating for adults. It does not apply to ranked seating, seating for non-domestic use, office work chairs, office visitors chairs, chairs for educational institutions, outdoor seating and to links for linked seating for which European Standards exist. It does not include requirements for the durability of upholstery materials, castors, reclining and tilting mechanisms and seat height adjustment mechanisms. The tests are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit für alle Typen von Sitzmöbeln für Erwachsene im Wohnbereich fest.
Sie gilt nicht für Reihenstühle, Stühle für den Einsatz außerhalb des Wohnbereichs, Büroarbeitsstühle, Büro¬besucherstühle, Stühle für Bildungseinrichtungen, Sitzmöbel im Außenbereich sowie für die Verbindungs-elemente von miteinander verbundenen Sitzmöbeln, für die EN-Normen oder Entwürfe bestehen.
Diese Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an die Dauerhaltbarkeit von Polstermaterialien, Stuhlrollen, Neige- und Wippmechaniken sowie von Höhenverstelleinrichtungen.
Die Prüfungen beruhen auf dem Gebrauch durch Personen mit einem Körpergewicht bis zu 110 kg.
Die Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an die elektrische Sicherheit.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Beständigkeit gegen Alterung, Verwitterung, Entflammbarkeit und Ergonomie.

Meubles - Résistance, durabilité et sécurité - Exigences relatives aux sièges à usage domestique

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales relatives à la sécurité, à la résistance et à la durabilité de tous les types de sièges à usage domestique pour adultes.
Elle ne s’applique pas aux sièges suivants : sièges en rangées, sièges à usage non domestique, sièges de travail de bureau, sièges de bureau pour visiteurs, chaises pour les établissements d’enseignement, sièges à usage extérieur et éléments de liaison de sièges reliés les uns aux autres, qui font l’objet de normes ou de projets de norme EN.
Elle ne comprend aucune exigence concernant la durabilité des matériaux d’ameublement, des roulettes, des mécanismes des sièges pivotants et inclinables et des mécanismes de réglage en hauteur.
Les essais sont effectués sur la base d’une utilisation par des personnes pesant jusqu’à 110 kg.
La présente norme ne comporte pas d’exigences relatives à la sécurité électrique.
Elle ne fixe pas non plus d’exigences relatives à la résistance au vieillissement, à la dégradation, à l’inflammabilité et à l’ergonomie.

Ne velja za vrstno sedežno pohištvo, sedežno pohištvo, ki ni za domačo uporabo, pisarniške delovne stole, pisarniške stole za obiskovalce, stole za izobraževalne ustanove, sedežno pohištvo na prostem in za sedežno pohištvo, povezano v vrsto, za katere obstajajo evropski standardi.
