CEN/TC 69/WG 16 - Plastic valves

This European Standard specifies performance requirements and means for evaluation of conformity for valves of thermoplastic material, by reference to product standards, for use in building and civil engineering applications for the delivery of liquid and gaseous fluids.
It also contains information required for the purposes of regulatory marking.
NOTE   For information, thermoplastic valves in conformity with this European Standard should be considered suitable for drinking water applications subject to either:
a)   compliance with any national regulations in the country of intended destination, which can include testing if this is the demonstration of fitness for drinking water applications;
b)   internal coating of the Product and subsequent testing if required by the national regulations in the intended country of destination.

ISO 21787:2006 specifies requirements for the design, functional characteristics and manufacture of globe valves made of thermoplastics materials intended for isolating and control service, their connection to the pipe system, the body materials and their pressure/temperature rating between -40 degrees Celsius and +120 degrees Celsius, for a lifetime of 25 years, and also specifies their tests.
ISO 21787:2006 is applicable to hand- or power-operated valves to be installed in industrial pipe systems, irrespective of the field of application and the fluids to be conveyed.
It International Standard is concerned with the range of DN 10; DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100, DN 125 and DN 150, and the range of PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 and Class 150.

ISO 16139:2006 specifies requirements for the design, functional characteristics and manufacture of gate valves made of thermoplastics materials intended for isolating service, their connection to the pipe system, the body materials and their pressure/temperature rating between -40 degrees Celsius and +120 degrees Celsius, for a lifetime of 25 years, and also specifies their tests.
ISO 16139:2006 is applicable to hand- or power-operated valves to be installed in industrial pipe systems, irrespective of the field of application and the fluids to be conveyed.

It is concerned with the range of DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100, DN 125, DN 150, DN 200, DN 250, DN 300, DN 350, DN 400, DN 450, DN 500 and DN 600, and the range of PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 and Class 150.

ISO 16135:2006 specifies requirements for the design, functional characteristics and manufacture of ball valves made of thermoplastics materials intended for isolating service, for control service, and to divert/mix fluids, their connection to the pipe system, the body materials and their pressure/temperature rating between -40 degrees Celsius and + 120 degrees Celsius, for a lifetime of 25 years, and also specifies their tests.
ISO 16135:2006 is applicable to hand- or power-operated valves to be installed in industrial pipe systems, irrespective of the field of application and the fluids to be conveyed.
It is concerned with the ranges DN 8, DN 10, DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100, DN 125 and DN 150, and the ranges PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 and PN 25, and Class 150 and Class 300.

ISO 16137:2006 specifies requirements for the design, functional characteristics and manufacture of check valves made of thermoplastics materials intended to allow the flow of liquid fluids through the valve in one direction only and to prevent backflow, their connection to the pipe system, the body materials and their pressure/temperature rating between -40 degrees Celsius and + 120 degrees Celsius, for a lifetime of 25 years, and also specifies their tests.
ISO 16137:2006 is applicable to valves to be installed in industrial pipe systems, irrespective of the field of application and the fluids to be conveyed.
