ISO 10924-1:2016 is not applicable to circuit breaker holders (electrical centres or fuse-holders) used in vehicles.

ISO 10924-5:2016 specifies circuit breakers with rated voltage of 450 V for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for this circuit breaker type, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 10924-5:2016 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 10924‑1 and with ISO 10924‑2. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 10924‑1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to this part of ISO 10924. ISO 10924-5:2016 is applicable to circuit breakers with a rated voltage of 450 V d.c., a current rating of no greater than 300 A and a breaking capacity of 6 000 A.

ISO 8820-3:2015 specifies fuse-links with tabs (blade-type) Type C (medium), Type E (high current), and Type F (miniature) for use in road vehicles. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820‑1, whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to this part of ISO 8820.

ISO 10924-4:2015 specifies medium circuit breakers with tabs (Blade type), Form CB15, for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for this circuit breaker form, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 10924-4:2015 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 10924‑1 and with ISO 10924‑2. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 10924‑1, whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to this part of ISO 10924. ISO 10924-4:2015 is applicable to circuit breakers with a rated voltage of 14 V d.c. or 28 V d.c. or 58 V d.c., a current rating of no greater than 40 A and a breaking capacity of 2 000 A, intended for use in road vehicles with a nominal voltage of 12 V d.c. or 24 V d.c. or 48 V d.c. Circuit breakers differ in terms of dimensions and functions, e.g. electrically reset, automatic reset, manual reset and switchable. NOTE This type of circuit breaker is intended to be used in applications such as medium fuse-links in accordance with ISO 8820‑3. While the tab dimensions and current ratings can be the same, there might be differences in performance, which it is advisable that the user of these products take into consideration.

ISO 10924-3:2015 specifies miniature circuit breakers with tabs (blade-type), Form CB11 for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for this circuit breaker form, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 10924-3:2015 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 10924‑1 and with ISO 10924‑2. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 10924‑1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to this part of ISO 10924. ISO 10924-3:2015 is applicable to circuit breakers with a rated voltage of 14 V and/or 28 V, a current rating of ≤30 A and a breaking capacity of 2 000 A intended for use in road vehicles with a nominal voltage of 12 V and/or 24 V. The circuit breakers are different in dimensions and functions, such as electrically reset, automatic reset, manual reset, and switchable. NOTE This type of circuit breaker is intended to be used in similar applications as miniature fuse-links according to ISO 8820‑3. While the tab dimensions and current ratings can be the same, there might be differences in performance which the user of these products is advised to consider.

The numbering of its Clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820‑1, whose requirements are applicable except where modified by requirements particular to this part of ISO 8820.

This part of ISO 8820 is not applicable to fuse holders used in the vehicles.

ISO 8820-9:2014 specifies fuse-links with shortened tabs (Type K) for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for these fuse-link types, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements, and dimensions. ISO 8820-9:2014 is applicable to fuse-links with a rated voltage of 58 V, a current rating of ≤ 30 A, and a breaking capacity of 1 000 A intended for use in road vehicles. ISO 8820-9:2014 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 8820‑1 and ISO 8820‑2.

ISO 10924-2:2014 gives guidance for the choice and application of automotive circuit breakers. It describes the various parameters which have to be taken into account when selecting circuit breakers.

ISO 8820-2:2014 gives guidance for the choice and application of automotive fuse-links which are defined in the other parts of the ISO 8820 series. It describes the various parameters which have to be taken into account when selecting fuse-links. Fuse-links according to ISO 8820 are intended for electrical cable protection. If these types of fuse-links are to be used for electrical component protection, it should be agreed between customer and supplier. ISO 8820-2:2014 is intended to be used in conjunction with the other parts of ISO 8820.

ISO 8820-8:2012 specifies fuse-links with bolt-in contacts (Type H and J) and test fixtures for the fuse-links for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for these fuse-link types, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 8820-8:2012 is applicable to fuse-links with a rated voltage of 450 V d.c., a current rating of ≤ 400 A and a breaking capacity of 2 000 A intended for use in road vehicles. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820-1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to ISO 8820-8:2012.

ISO 8820‑4:2010 specifies fuse-links with female contacts (type A) and bolt-in contacts (type B) for use in road vehicles. It establishes, for these fuse-link types, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 8820‑4:2010 is applicable to fuse-links with a rated voltage of 32 V or 58 V, a current rating equal to or less than 140 A and a breaking capacity of 1 000 A intended for road vehicles. ISO 8820‑4:2010 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 8820‑1 and with ISO 8820‑2. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820‑1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to ISO 8820‑4:2010.

ISO 8820-7:2007 specifies fuse-links with tabs (Type G) in road vehicles. This type of fuse-link is basically designed for use in fuel-cell applications. ISO 8820-7:2007 establishes, for this fuse-link type, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions. ISO 8820-7:2007 is applicable for fuse-links with a rated voltage of 450 V, a current rating of up to 70 A and a breaking capacity of 2 000 A intended for use in road vehicles at a nominal voltage up to 450 V.

ISO 8820-5:2007 specifies fuse-links with axial terminals (Strip fuse-links) Type SF30 and SF51 and test fixtures for fuses in road vehicles. ISO 8820-6:2007 is applicable to those fuse-links with a rated voltage of 58 V, a current rating of u 300 A and a breaking capacity of 2 000 A intended for use in road vehicles at a nominal voltage of 12 V, 24 V and/or 42 V.
