ISO/TC 106/SC 3/WG 2 - Dental vocabulary (Revision of ISO 1942 and thematic coding of its terms)

This document defines terms used in dental product standards. This document aims to facilitate the standard development process and the comprehension of standards, and to improve communication with the FDI World Dental Federation, the World Health Organization and other organizations interested in standardization.

ISO 1942:2008 provides definitions for a number of concepts specific to dentistry in the interest of facilitating development and comprehension of standards, and to improve communication with the Fédération Dentaire Internationale, the World Health Organization and other interested organizations. Annex A to ISO 1942:2008 provides additional information that can be helpful to users of the document.
