Standard Specification for Sample Preparation for Qualification Testing of Coatings to be Used in Nuclear Power Plants (Withdrawn 2010)
ABSTRACT
This specification defines the size composition and surface preparation requirements for the preparation of test samples used for qualification testing of coatings utilized in nuclear power plant construction and maintenance. All panels should be carbon steel. Materials shall be tested for abrasion, and shall conform to specified requirements of steel samples, and concrete blocks.
SCOPE
1.1 This specification defines the size composition and surface preparation requirements for test samples used to evaluate coatings according to the following ASTM test procedures.
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
WITHDRAWN RATIONALE
This specification defines the size composition and surface preparation requirements for test samples used to evaluate coatings according to the following ASTM test procedures.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D33 on Protective Coating and Lining Work for Power Generation Facilities, this specification was withdrawn in January 2010 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
