Textile fabrics - Determination of resistance to surface wetting (spray test) (ISO 4920:2012)

ISO 4920:2012 specifies a spray test method for determining the resistance of any fabric, which might or might not have been given a water‑resistant or water‑repellent finish, to surface wetting by water.
It is not intended for use in predicting the rain-penetration resistance of fabrics, since it does not measure penetration of water through the fabric.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Sprühverfahren zur Bestimmung der wasserabweisenden Eigenschaften von textilen Flächengebilden mit oder ohne wasserbeständiger oder wasserabweisender Ausrüstung fest, bei denen die Flächen mit Wasser benetzt werden.
Das Verfahren ist nicht dafür vorgesehen, die Widerstandsfähigkeit des textilen Flächengebildes gegen das Durchdringen von Regenwasser vorherzusagen, da nicht die Durchdringung von Wasser durch das textile Flächengebilde gemessen wird.

Tekstilije - Ugotavljanje odpornosti proti površinskemu škropljenju (pršni preskus) (ISO 4920:2012)

Ta mednarodni standard določa metodo pršnega preskusa, s katerim se določa odpornost tkanin – ki naj bi ali ne bi imele vodoodporno ali vodoodbojno površino – na površinsko škropljenje z vodo. Preskus ni namenjen predvidevanju odpornosti tkanine na prodiranje dežja, saj ne meri prodiranja vode skozi tkanino.

This document (EN ISO 4920:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 "Textiles" in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products” the secretariat of which is
held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by February 2013.
