This European Standard specifies the characteristics of electrical lightweight wires DRA family for use in the on-board 115 V (phase to neutral) or 200 V (phase to phase) AC electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperatures between  65 °C and 260 °C. These cables are demonstrated to be arc resistant in sizes AWG 26 to 14 (115/200 V AC).
In addition, these cables may be suitable for use at 230/400 V AC in pressurised zones only when installed to take account of possible short circuit effects.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von leichten elektrischen Leitungen der DRA-Familie zur Verwendung in elektrischen Wechselstrombordnetzen mit 115 V (Phase auf Neutral) oder 200 V (Phase auf Phase) von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen −65 °C und 260 °C fest. Diese Leitungen sind in den Größen AWG 26 bis AWG 14 (115/200 V AC) nachweislich lichtbogenfest.
Darüber hinaus können diese Leitungen zur Verwendung bei 230/400 V AC in druckbelüfteten Zonen nur geeignet sein, wenn bei der Installation eventuelle Kurzschlüsse berücksichtigt werden.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques des câbles électriques légers de la famille DRA, utilisés dans les systèmes électriques de bord des aéronefs 115 V (entre phase et neutre) ou 200 V (entre phases) AC à des températures de fonctionnement comprises entre  65 °C et 260 °C. Ces câbles de taille 26 à 14 AWG (115/200 V AC) ont démontré leurs résistances aux arcs électriques.
De plus, les câbles peuvent être utilisés pour des tensions 230/400 V AC dans les zones pressurisées, uniquement quand l’installation tient compte des effets possibles des courts circuits.

Ta evropski standard določa karakteristike družine električnih kablov iz lahkih materialov iz družine DRA za uporabo na krovu v električnih sistemih letala s 115 V (faza, zvezana z nevtralno napetostjo) ali 200 V (faza, zvezana s fazo) pri temperaturi delovanja med –65 °C in 260 °C. Ti kabli so dokazano odporni proti obloku v velikostih od 26 do 14 AWG (115/200 V AC).
Poleg tega se lahko te kable uporablja pri 230/400 V AC v conah pod tlakom le, če so nameščeni, da se upoštevajo možni učinki kratkega stika.
