This document specifies the required characteristics and test procedures for fire resistant or fire-proof electrical cables for use in aircraft electrical systems. These cables should also maintain a specific surface resistance when they are subjected to a flame of 1 100 °C after 5 minutes (fire resistant) or 15 minutes (fire-proof) exposure.
The insulation of these cables is designed to withstand aircraft voltages at a frequency not exceeding 2 000 Hz. Unless specified by individual product standards the maximum demonstrated ac voltage of rating of these cables is 115 V rms (phase to neutral) and 200 V rms (phase to phase) and a long term temperature of up to 260 °C (ambient temperature plus temperature rise in conductor).

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für feuerbeständige oder feuerfeste elektrische Leitungen zur Verwendung im elektrischen Bordnetz von Luftfahrzeugen fest. Diese Leitungen sollten außerdem bei Belastung durch Flammen mit 1 100 °C nach 5 Minuten (feuerbeständig) oder 15 Minuten (feuerfest) einen spezifischen Oberflächenwiderstand aufrechthalten.
Die Isolierung dieser Leitungen ist für Flugzeugspannungen mit einer Frequenz bis 2 000 Hz ausgelegt. Falls nicht in den einzelnen Produktnormen festgelegt, beträgt die maximal nachgewiesene Nennwechselspan¬nung dieser Leitungen 115 V effektiv (Phase gegen Neutral) und 200 V effektiv (Phase gegen Phase) und die Dauertemperatur bis zu 260 °C (Umgebungstemperatur plus Temperaturanstieg im Leiter).

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques requises et les procédures d’essais pour les câbles électriques résistant au feu ou ignifugés, utilisés dans les systèmes électriques des aéronefs. Il convient que ces câbles conservent une résistance de surface spécifique lorsqu’ils sont soumis à une flamme de 1 100 °C après 5 minutes d’exposition (résistant au feu) ou après 15 minutes d’exposition (ignifugé).
L’isolation de ces câbles est conçue pour supporter les tensions des aéronefs à une fréquence n’excédant pas 2 000 Hz. Sauf spécification contraire dans la norme de produit, la tension alternative nominale maximale démontrée de ces câbles est de 115 V rms (phase à neutre) et de 200 V rms (phase à phase), et la température à long terme jusqu’à 260 °C (température ambiante plus augmentation de la température dans le conducteur).

Ta dokument določa potrebne značilnosti in preskusne postopke za ognjevzdržne ali negorljive električne kable za uporabo v električnih sistemih letal. Kadar so izpostavljeni plamenu temperature 1100 °C, naj bi ti kabli po 5 minutah (ognjevzdržni) ali 15 minutah (negorljivi) izpostavljenosti ohranili tudi določeno površinsko odpornost.
Izolacija teh kablov je zasnovana tako, da prenese napetosti letala pri frekvenci do 2000 Hz. Največja uporabljena napetost pri ocenjevanju teh kablov je AC 115 V RMS (za fazno napetost) in 200 V RMS (za medfazno napetost) ter dolgoročna temperatura do 260 °C (sobna temperatura plus zvišanje temperature v prevodniku), razen če standardi za posamezne proizvode določajo drugače.
